Microsoft has introduced Thunderbolt 4 support, with other ports including USB-A, Surface Connect and a headphone jack.

The laptop will sport a 720p front-facing webcam with Windows Hello support. The Surface Laptop 5 will be available with up to 32GB of RAM and up to a 1TB SSD. There’s no option for a discrete GPU, so you’ll need to settle for the integrated Intel Iris Xe graphics instead. You’ll get to choose between an Intel Core i5-1235U and Intel Core i7-1255U CPU, although the 15-inch model is only available with the latter. The Microsoft Surface Laptop 5 will be powered by 12th Generation Intel Core processors. The 13-inch version has a starting price of $999.99, while the cost of the 15-inch model will begin at $1,299.99. The Microsoft Surface Laptop 5 will be available to buy in stores from 25th October 2022.
